Art for Grabs

NEC took part in Art for Grabs at Annexe Gallery on 9th & 10th May 2009. Art For Grabs is the art and crafts bazaar giving the opportunity for art lovers selling their artworks, photography, knick knacks, accessories etc, all for under RM100. We were selling ceramics work produced by the students and I might say that the response was good.

I'm looking forward for the next Art for Grabs!!

Koh Kred Island 2008

Last year I went to Bangkok, Thailand with my friends and ex-lecturer-now-colleague for five days, visiting University of Silpakorn, University of Chulalongkorn, and other places of interests in Bkk. Koh Kred is one of them.

Situated in Nonthaburi Province, 20 km north of Bangkok, in the Chao Phraya River.

Koh Kred is famous for it's distinctive baked unglazed red clay carved with intricate patterns, which is known as Mon pottery.

Me and my passion...

I am a Fine Art graduate majoring in Painting and minor in Ceramics but I've developed a passion in Ceramics immediately after I started learning the subject in the college. For me, working with clay gives me a down-to-earth feeling throughout the process, gives me the excitement every time I open the kiln's door, and I feel honored whenever somebody admiring the pottery piece I produced. It's those feelings that keep me going on and on in this field I love...
